Why it makes a good gift
Best for : A kid or teen aged 10 and up who loves cars, or an adult fan of Ken Block, who wants a build that turns into a shelf piece.
Best occasion : Christmas or a birthday, as a small-to-medium present.
Why it works : This is not a generic sports car: it is the Hoonicorn from Gymkhana SEVEN with a Ken Block minifigure, so it lands best with someone who knows the car or the driver. Rated 4.8 across 701 reviews at about $41, it builds in one sitting and then goes on display.
Avoid if : The recipient is not into cars or has never heard of Ken Block. It is a build-once model rather than a toy to replace, and it has small parts, so follow the 10+ marking.
