Why it makes a good gift
Best for : A child who loves The Lion King, or a Disney fan of any age who wants an official character plush rather than a generic lion.
Best occasion : Christmas, either in the stocking or as a main gift, and the birthday of a young Lion King fan.
Why it works : The gift is instantly recognizable: Simba with a furry mane and an embroidered face, sold by the Disney Store itself. At about $30 with a 4.8 rating from more than 11,000 buyers, it is one of the most reviewed plush toys in this batch, so the giver is not gambling on quality.
Avoid if : The child does not know the film, or you need a specific size: the listing says medium without giving dimensions in the data we captured. Check the age guidance on the Amazon page before giving it to a baby.
